REACH the Hopeless.   TEACH the Word.   UNLEASH the Church.

What we Believe.   What we Live for.

WE BELIEVE that there is a great need for life-giving churches in this generation (John 10:10; Ephesians 3:20).

WE BELIEVE that the worship of God is a priority in our lives because He deserves to be glorified in all we do because of what He has done (Psalm 115:1; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Romans 1:16).

WE BELIEVE  in prayer because that is where we acquire- personally and corporately- the power of the Holy Spirit
(Acts 1, 2, 4:31, 6:4; Ephesians 5:18; Matthew 28:20).

WE BELIEVE in teaching the Word of God with simple Bible exposition and practical Bible application. We primarily teach through the books of the Bible, one at a time (2 Tim 2:15; 3:16; 4:2).

WE BELIEVE in community and discipleship by way of small groups that we call “Connect Groups.” We believe that believers grow and expand their faith best by doing life around Bibles, coffee, food, and each other (Acts 2:42).

WE BELIEVE that everyone’s story matters. We equip people to understand their story within God‘s great story. Then, we equip people to share that story with others who need to understand that their own story matters (Acts 9:1-19; 22:1-21; 26).

WE BELIEVE that everyone is designed by God to serve uniquely in the body of Christ, in the community in which they live.  We equip believers to understand their spiritual gifts, personality, and passions, so that they can walk in God‘s call for them- personally and corporately (Gen 1:27; John 10:10; Mark 10:45; 1 Corinthians 12:18; Eph 4:11).

Jesus Christ came to give us eternal life (John 10:10). When we receive this spiritual life through Jesus, we become a part of His mission (Matt 28:19-20; Acts 1:8).

With Jesus, there are no limitations (Eph 3:20-21). Our mission is to be His "hands and feet." Therefore, we take responsibility to be a life-giving church to Ruidoso.

Every ministry and mission strategy at Calvary Ruidoso is dependent on the “power at work within us" – The Holy Spirit. Therefore, we pray (Acts 4:31) because we want what’s done among us to be of God, not us.

Knowing  that God utterly loves people, we seek to reach the hopeless who do not yet know God's love. We understand the problem (Rom 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”). The church is God's "hands and feet," reaching the hopeless and bringing glory to Himself. We love the hopeless, knowing that we once were without hope (Eph 2:1-10). Loving the hopeless is our unrelenting focus.

With the direction of the Spirit of God and through much prayer, it is a resounding priority that we teach the Word of God. The Word is powerful, infallible, timeless, and is the foundation for all we are and for all we do. We read, pray, study, teach, preach and live the Word of God.

Once the hopeless have found hope, they need growth. Scripture calls this disciple-making. A living, giving church makes disciples. It walks with people on the journey of growth. Why? Because when spiritual growth happens, a believer is unleashed to make an impact for God in the world. We unleash the church with the Gospel of Love in a world separated from a holy God.

Calvary Chapel Ruidoso is a fellowship of believers who exist under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our greatest desire is to experience life in Christ, and to be a life-giving church (John 10:10; Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:19-20).

We are a non-denominational Calvary Chapel Church, connected to the Calvary Global Network and the Calvary Chapel Association. Yet, we also partner with regional churches and ministries within the body of Christ who are biblically-based and missions-driven for the cause of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (John 17).
